It's Our One Year Relocation Birthday

On 27th July 2020, we reopened our doors at Podiatry & Wellness Clinic at 3 Millfields, Station Road in Polegate. After originally co-founding Polegate Podiatry & Health Clinic on Station Road for 6 years, and moving independently to 57 High St (within R&L Tanning) in January 2019, Lorraine Humphrey fell back in love with Station Road, and the now modern and airy clinic, called no other than Podiatry & Wellness Clinic.

It wasn't all an easy journey into the new clinic; a lot of work had to be done before it became the clean and professional practice that it is now. When Lorraine viewed the building, it was set out as an office with a big open space. Lorraine had to draw up a plan of how she wanted her dream clinic to be set out, and with the help from some trusty tradesmen, 2 modern clinical rooms were added, a kitchen and sterilisation area were created, plus an updated bathroom. Have a look at our photos below of what it looked like before Lorraine got her hands on it!

Before we could open on 27th July 2020, there was this little virus called the Coronavirus going around, which put a rather large spanner in the works of purchasing the clinic, and having building works done. But with some blood, sweat, tears, and government guidelines, we managed to have a virtual opening day of Podiatry & Wellness Clinic where all our online followers and patients could watch a video tour, and then we opened our doors officially on 27th July.

Since then, we've had new members of our team join us, including our physiotherapist and sports masseuse John Privett, podiatrist Ellie Reeder, biomechanical specialist podiatrist Rebecca Love, and medical secretary Daniella Jackson. We also said farewell to Jane Gosden, our much loved podiatrist who went on to work full time for the NHS. Nicky Yates, our popular acupuncturist and masseuse continued to work with us once government guidelines allowed.

With these new additions, we have been able to offer a full range of specialised treatments including chiropody, toenail surgery, verruca treatment, advanced biomechanical assessments, physiotherapy appointments, sports massage, acupuncture, holistic massage and reflexology. Whether you have foot problems, chronic pain, recovering from an injury or are just in need of some TLC, you will be able to find a treatment suited to you at Polegate Podiatry & Wellness Clinic.

Over the last year, we have had to adapt to a new way of working, enforcing rules and regulations regarding Covid-19, including wearing full PPE (which our medical staff also did previously), ensuring our patients wear masks and sanitise their hands, and constantly sterilising communal areas after each interaction (as well as all medical areas and instruments which were regularly sterilised pre Covid as well). We also had to limit the amount of people in the our clinic at one time, and space the appointments to prevent patient-patient contact. It has been a strange journey to be on, but we pulled through and although the restrictions have been lifted, we are still enforcing our own rules in clinic regarding masks and sterilisation, to keep everyone safe. Lastly, we would like to thank every single patient that has walked through our doors and supported us over the years, and the last year at our Station Road location. Without you, our clinic would not be where it is today, and we are so grateful for that. Lorraine would like to also personally thank each member of staff, old and new, for being true assets to our team and making Podiatry & Wellness the clinic it is today. It is a great place to work, with lovely staff members, and by looking at the reviews, our patients think it is a great place to be too.

Here is to another year of health and happiness, and we look forward to the future of Podiatry & Wellness Clinic!
