What's new at Podiatry & Wellness Clinic?

Updated: Mar 27

Happy February everyone! It may not have been the start of the year that we had all hoped for, with being thrown into lockdown straight after Christmas, however we're managing to stay positive at Podiatry & Wellness Clinic, and we're enjoying seeing all of our regular patients, and some new faces too.

We just thought we'd give you all an update on how we all are, and what's new at Podiatry & Wellness Clinic.

In December 2020, we raised an amazing £350 for St Wilfrid's Hospice from our Christmas raffle. Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket - every penny went to an amazing cause. We also took part in St Wilfrid's Christmas Jumper Day.

John Privett joined us at the end of 2020 to offer physiotherapy and sports massage, and has already built up a wonderful clientele. All we've heard are great reviews, so it's lovely to have him on our team. If you're in need of some physiotherapy, head to our Physiotherapy treatment page, and contact us to book an appointment.

Our podiatrist and good friend Jane Gosden said goodbye to us in the middle of January. She was an amazing asset to our team and we'll miss her lots, however we wish her the best of luck working within the NHS, and will definitely be staying in contact with her. Jane has been showing Lorraine some wonderful hikes around East Sussex, and will continue to do so after the current lockdown.

Ellie Reeder, who has been working with us since August 2020, is now offering podiatry two - three days per week at our Polegate clinic, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Ellie is a lovely

addition to our podiatry team, and we've only heard good things from her patients about her footcare services. Ellie also offers home visits in the Polegate area.

Our medical receptionist, Daniella Jackson, has been working with us for 6 months now, and we're so happy to have her on our team. Many patients have commented on her "excellent phone manner," which is always lovely to hear.

Considering we're in the middle of a pandemic, it would seem strange not to mention it at all. We've managed to stay open during the tier changes and recent lockdowns, as podiatry and physiotherapy are deemed essential appointments. We are still waiting for more news from the government about when we can start offering acupuncture and massage with Nicky Yates again. Most of our staff have received their first covid-19 vaccination jabs and, of course, we are still following the government guidelines around social distancing, and ensuring that our clinic is as safe as possible for the protection of both our staff and patients. For more info on how we're dealing with the pandemic, head to our Covid-19 Update page.

Last but not least, Lorraine Humphrey, founder of Podiatry & Wellness Clinic, has said "It's been a rollercoaster of a year, however I'm so glad that we have been able to stay open and still see our patients. It's been great that we have had lots of new patients booking in too, and I just hope that the light at the end of the tunnel gets brighter and brighter, so that we can all go back to our "normal lives" soon. I wish everyone a year of good health and happiness, and I look forward to seeing more of you as we move through the year."
